Situated
in the heart of Europe, France has truly become Britain’s gateway to the continent.
This is one country that has a great culture and has always
been at the helm of Europe’s art and cuisine. France
has a number of attractions such as Roman ruins, pre-historic
caves, medieval fortresses and castles. The world's most
extensive high-speed train also runs here.
France
has a cosmopolitan feel and this is why a lot of travellers
from around the
world come here to spend their holidays. But it is
not for its great cities like Paris, Nice and Bordeaux
that people
come here generally, it’s the countryside that tends
to bring in the visitors.
In short, this is a country with many different
faces - from the Cezanne beauty of province to the snow filled
mountains that will make your holiday a memorable one.
Kitchens
Generally all the amenities like full hob, microwave
oven, fridge dishwasher and washing machine are made available.
Apart from kitchen, majority of villas have barbecue facilities
built-in on terraces and an outdoor dining area.
Interiors
Sofas and chairs adorn the living rooms. Bedrooms will
have ample storage space and hanging space overall, but
not always in each bedroom. Terraces are well furnished
with sun loungers, garden furniture and parasols or pergolas.
Maid service
In all villas bed linen, tea towels and hand towels
are provided. But make sure to carry your own beach and
pool towels. Villas normally do not provide formal maid
services, but often can be arranged and paid for locally.
AC and heating
Using air-conditioner has additional charge. But most
of the villas are naturally cool in summer. Modern villas,
however, are often equipped with ceiling fans, while most
have central heating or radiators for which a supplementary
charge is levied.
Bonfires
Open fire or a wood burning stove is generally available
in most of the villas. So also, logs are cheap and readily
available.
Cots
A cot and highchair along with cot linen is supplied
in each villa, free of charge. Larger villas have two cots
and two high chairs. For infants sleeping cots supplied
but a prior notice needs to given.
Satellite connection
Only few English speaking news and sports channels
are made available. Video recorders are available in many
of the villas.
Security deposit
A security deposit needs to be paid on arrival in cash,
travellers’ cheque or Euro cheque to the owner/key
holder. At the end of your stay, this will be returned
less the standard final cleaning charge. |
